Hey, folks! So, I am preparing a baby shower for a friend who hosted one for me – last year. (Shout-out to Baby Isaac!!) However, I am on a limited budget and would really like it if I could do this for no more than 80 bucks. This baby shower has been on my mind for the past month and I have figured I’d share it with my cyber friends, in hopes for a little input.
The theme that I have chose to go with is the cutest rubber duckie theme. I just love it! Think I may have to start a collection (Yay! A new hobby!) after looking at all of the different types and colors and themes for rubber duckies.
The theme that I am going with will be in a plain blue and a school bus yellow. Table cloths will be in the blue, balloons in blue and the baby shower banner will have a bit of both colors in it. In the yellow, will be the plates, rubber duckies and just a few balloons (not as many as we’ll have in the blue).
I am having a church friend, Andrea Bengtson make a cake similar to this one:
She does awesome work!
I plan on constructing a diaper tower/cake, for my first time. This will be fun! I plan on wrapping it in blue ribbon, surrounding it in rubber duckies, topping it off with an even larger rubber duckie. I can’t wait to get started on this project!
The tables will have the blue table cloths with center pieces as either tiny fish bowl/candle holders, filled with blue marbles and a rubber duckie floating in them, similar to these:
OR since I can’t seem to make up my mind, I may go with cotton balls or marshmallows down the center of the tables with rubber duckies scattered about. I am still not sure about that, though, so I will wait to see how much these will add up in cost.
Reminder: I am on a budget of 80 bucks!
For games… I haven’t even come to think of what to do here! Ideas are appreciated!!

Thanks! I did a lot of my shopping at the dollar store and Amazon.com. Found a lot of cute and reasonably priced things. Shower is this Saturday — so excited to see how it’ll turn out!
