Ahh… yes. It is Monday. Again. This means that I must first try and gather my sanity and organize my thoughts. Oh, and yeah… do that cleaning thing again. On top of all of the cleaning and picking-up after everyone, I must squeeze in the time to homeschool my Noah boy. Oh! And all while attached to a 9 month old (I swear, the boy is ALWAYS hungry… or thirsty… however you want to weigh that out.).
AND… not to mention… today marks mine and Ben’s 4 year Anniversary. Heart. Heart. Heart. Ex-Oh. Ex-Oh. Ex-Oh. (insert doves, ribbons and all things LOVE – here.) This means that I have to find the time to shower and get dressed-up. With makeup. In something pretty. And spray on that little sweet smelling stuff that he likes so much (reminder: NOT the one that smells like his mother-in-law).
BUT… (no, not butt. I knew that’s what you were thinking – dirty!)… we live in this super small town and we don’t really have anyone that we can leave the boys with for a short night-out together. Not to mention that it has been… well… lets see… um… lets just say a VERY long time since Ben and I have done something like that. I am talking, where we’ve been able to have a nice romantic dinner. Time where we could relax without distractions. Where we could talk our mildly-mature strategies on our future with the boys (Yeah. That is what I think we would do IF we were to have our alone-little-special-romantic-get-away-dinner.).
So… while I procrastinate on chores and all the other important things that I should be doing, I will sit and ponder on a special night-out with the hubby while I sip on a nice tall glass of York Peppermint Patty latte and drown out the ambiance of my screaming children.
Here’s for a manic controlled Monday, my friends!
Cheers!
Happy Anniversary!!!
Thanks, Kasey! Would you want to come watch my boys while the husband and I venture out tonight, alone on the town? Please say it will be no problem for you to hop on a plane and make it here to NW Montana by 6 o’clock tonight!!
I’m totally on my way, leaving Texas now! lol
Cool! I’ll be the one waiting on the porch in an evening gown and heels.
this sounds about right for SAHM life! LOL
